HTC One E9+ Revealed: What’s New In It?

3458

The upcoming smartphone of HTC, the One E9+, has been revealed on the manufacturer’s Taiwanese website. However, there has been quite confusion around the phone’s specs. The company has uploaded specifications about the smartphone that don’t pass in the picture, since they exclude each other.

Misinforming customers is one of the worst things that a company can do to its buyers. It can cause big sales for a while, however, after a week or so, the customers will realize that the company has misinformed them, which is a form of scamming and could be brought to court, and most of them will try to get their money back. Buyers will most probably sue the firm and will lose serious confidence in them. That could mean that a product, which doesn’t have accurate information can have an effect on buyers that they won’t even buy a single product from the company due to that.

HTC has to fix this problem as soon as possible to avoid the spreading of misinformation. A big company with a good reputation can’t afford to lose loyal customers due to a small problem, they need to do something very soon.

The (Mis) Information

HTC has revealed the upcoming One E9+’s screen, which will be 5.5 inch big. The size seems to be the only certain point of the display, since HTC got quite confused on the resolution of the device. On the tech spread sheet they say that the phone will have a Full HD screen, however, at the features page they list a 534 ppi QHD display for the smartphone. A QHD screen would seem pretty interesting as the HTC M9, the company’s flagship phone, has only a Full HD display, which will mean that the One E9+ will have a much better display than the firm’s flagship phone. That would be pretty amazing, however, I think the “Full HD” information seems to be true, since the company wouldn’t want to release a “simple” (non flagship) phone with a better screen than the HTC One M9.

Another confusion caused by HTC’s Taiwanese department, the rear camera of the device is said to be 20 MP in the features tab, however, they feature a 13 MP one in the spread sheet. I don’t know what is happening there in Taiwan, however, I hope they will fix things pretty soon.

Although, there is one firm information about the camera of the device. The smartphone will have an Ultrapixel front facing camera, which sound pretty cool.

The “Real” Information

The HTC One E9+ will have BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio, these features are the same as the HTC One M9’s.

The HTC One E9+ comes with serious power, since the device will feature an octa core Mediatek processor along with 2 GB of RAM. The internal storage will be 16 GB big and could be extended with a micro SD card by 128 GB.

The smartphone seems pretty interesting and has a potential to make lots of dollars for the company, however, there’s a big chance that the device won’t make it out of Asia. It seems that the smartphone has been designed for the Asian market mainly.

HTC One E9+
Why do I say that? Most consumer electronics manufacturers have products and brands that sell worldwide, but there are always goods that only sell in specific countries or regions. Imagine it as a region lock (like in PC games) where you can only buy them from a country, which is not in that region, if you use some forms of workaround.

A fact is, however, that the phone is using a MediaTek CPU, so it will probably be hitting the Chinese and most Asian countries’ markets only. There has been no phone released in Europe or the Americas with a MediaTek CPU. Not a single one.

Verdict

The HTC One E9+ looks promising, but there are some very urgent changes that the company has to make to the product description, since customers won’t even know what parts of the product description are true. The phone will most likely to be released only in Asia, however, we always hope that the product will come to the USA, Europe and to the rest of the world.
